This past Sunday the Houston Astros hosted Bark in the Park for Astros fans to bring their four-legged friends out to the field. Checkout all the fun these pooches had while watching first pitch.
From doggy tattoos to a costume contest, family caricatures, fido-friendly frozen yogurt, and much more the Astros hosting of Bark at the Park was a huge success full of fun activities for both pets and parents. With a separate entrance for dog owners each pooch received their own goody bag (with an awesome Astros Bark in the Park PrideBites leash included).
On their PrideBites leashes the pooch parade began followed by the costume contest. In the courtyard each pooch was decked out in either full costume or Astros gear. After the costume contest, all headed inside for the ceremonial first “fetch” and made sure to join in on the national anthem.
During the game a couple sections were blocked off as the dog zone. There guest could explore the booths setup by sponsors. Petsmart offered temporary
Astros tattoos for Fido, AvoDerm had photographers (and treats) ready for guests, and Nylabone had products to try as well. Houston Pets Alive was also at the game showing off some adoptable dogs.
Pups also could get caricatures done with their owners or chow down on some frozen yogurt. After they finished all of the activities they could sit back and watch the game too.
Although the game ended in a loss, the home-run accompanied by fireworks (which are not a good idea with dogs everywhere) and all the events made the day one to remember. We at PrideBites were so happy we were able to participate in the event and hope all who attended enjoyed it as much as we did!
